Growing up in a middle-class family where access to quality coaching was a luxury, Sudhanshu Sir understood firsthand how a lack of structured guidance can cost deserving students their dream college. This personal experience would later become the driving force behind everything he built at MeritZone.

Sudhanshu Sir pursued his graduation and developed a deep interest in Mathematics, Economics and Logical Reasoning — the very subjects that form the backbone of competitive exams like CUET, CLAT, and CAT. During his student years, he mentored peers informally, realising early that he had a rare ability to break down complex concepts into simple, memorable frameworks.

Before founding MeritZone, Sudhanshu Sir spent two years working with established coaching institutes in Delhi — learning the industry, understanding student psychology, and observing what was missing in mainstream education. He noticed that most institutes prioritised volume over quality: huge batches, recorded lectures, and one-size-fits-all study material. He decided to build something different.

With a handful of students in a small rented room in Laxmi Nagar, Sudhanshu Sir launched MeritZone Education. There was no marketing budget, no brand recognition, and no guarantee of success. There was only a commitment: every student who walks in will get the same attention and strategy as if they were the only student in the room.

Word spread through student networks in Laxmi Nagar, Shakarpur, Preet Vihar, and across East Delhi. Parents began calling. Students who had failed previously at other institutes came to MeritZone and cracked their exams. Sudhanshu Sir developed proprietary frameworks for Time Management, Section-wise Strategy, and Error Analysis — methods that became the foundation of MeritZone’s pedagogy.

As demand grew, MeritZone expanded its course offerings to include CLAT, IPMAT, CAT, and UPSC preparation. Recognising that deserving students exist beyond Delhi, Sudhanshu Sir launched online programs, making MeritZone’s coaching accessible across India. A dedicated student app was developed to bring mock tests, study material, and progress tracking to every student’s phone.

When the National Testing Agency launched CUET UG in 2022 as the single gateway to 280+ central universities, most institutes were still figuring out the format. Sudhanshu Sir and his team built comprehensive domain-specific material, launched India’s first CUET-focused test series, and helped hundreds of students crack this new exam in its very first year.

Today, MeritZone has crossed 1000+ selections across DU, JNU, BHU, NLU, IIM, and top central universities. Sudhanshu Sir still personally leads teaching for CUET, CLAT, and CAT — refusing to delegate his role to junior staff. The institute maintains deliberately small batch sizes, not because of space constraints, but as a philosophy. Every student still gets Sudhanshu Sir’s direct attention.
