CUET is a standardised test used by several universities and colleges ranging from Delhi University (DU) to Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Aspiring college students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in 2023 will have to take this Common University Entrance Test (CUET). This test allows universities to evaluate candidates on a level playing field, irrespective of their academic backgrounds and institutions. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is a computer-based test. It is a three-hour long exam consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that test the student’s knowledge in various subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and general knowledge.
CUET 2023 Registration :
The national testing agency has begun the CUET 2023 registration procedure for the Common University Entrance Test Exam.
Candidates who will be taking the CUET 2023 for admission to undergraduate programmes can fill CUET 2023 registration form on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in. Candidates are advised to go through the CUET Notification before filling the form. It is available on the official website mentioned above.

Syllabus of Exam :
- Language : Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative), Literary Aptitude
- Domain Subject : As per Class 12 syllabus only.
- General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
Eligibility
The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) – 2023 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

CUET Preparation :
Students need to have a strong understanding of the subjects mentioned above, as well as good time management skills. Here are some tips that can help students prepare for CUET 2023:
- Understand the exam format and syllabus: Start by familiarising yourself with the exam format and syllabus. This will give you a clear idea of what to expect on the day of the exam and help you focus your preparation efforts.
- Create a study plan: Once you know what you need to study, create a study plan that includes a daily schedule of topics to cover, practice questions to attempt and mock tests to take. Be realistic about how much time you can devote to studying each day, and stick to your schedule.
- Focus on building a strong foundation: CUET admission test questions will be based on topics covered in high school, so focus on building a strong foundation in core subjects.
- Practice solving problems: Practice solving as many problems as possible from previous years’ question papers, mock tests and textbooks. This will help you develop problem-solving skills, speed and accuracy.
- Take mock tests: Take as many mock tests as possible to gauge your preparation level and identify areas where you need improvement. Analyse your performance after each mock test and focus on improving weak areas.
- Stay updated with current affairs: In addition to core subjects, make sure to stay updated with current affairs and general knowledge. Read newspapers, watch news and follow current events to stay informed.
